The giant prehistoric “Sarcosuchus Imperator” existed about 112 million years ago:

“Sarcosuchus Imperator” was one of the largest crocodiles that ever lived on Earth, they lived about 110 million years ago. It is commonly called “SUPER CROC”. The word “Sarcosuchus” is derived from Sarco which means “Flesh” and Suchus which means “Crocodile”.

The very first crocodile seen during the earliest period of the Mesozoic era of geological some 228 million years ago.

Physical Attributes

Recent estimates suggest that the largest Sarcosuchus imperator specimen was 9.5 meters (31 feet) in length their weight around 8 tons.
Sarcosuchus had a large body, which was covered with a brown, thick scales as well as a very long, flat tail.

Because of their titanic size, Sarcosuchus was able to hunt dinosaurs this estimate from the fossils of the crocodile often found in the dessert of Africa.

They lived in the Early Cretaceous in the Sahara Desert ,before camels and Tusken Raiders became the dominant species. Its name means “Flesh Crocodile Emperor”. Sarcosuchus imperator probably had a generalized diet similar to that of the Nile crocodile.

The most powerful body segment iп the Sarcosuchus was its tail. It moved parallel , creatiпg a hard force that propelled the “super croc” onwards. This drive is fast enough for the aпimal to hunt fast-moving fish.

Sarcosuchus is commonly classified as part of the clade Macrorhynchidae.
